Rugs get dirtier than you'd think
A rug on a hard floor catches the grit that would otherwise scratch your wood or LVP. That's its job, but it means rugs fill up with sand faster than wall-to-wall carpet does. Try this: flip a corner over and tap the back. If dust or sand falls out, it's ready for a cleaning.
Different rugs, different cleaning
We figure out what the rug is made of before we touch it. Synthetic rugs (nylon, polyester, polypropylene) can usually be cleaned right in your home with regular hot water extraction. Wool and handmade rugs get a gentler, lower-moisture method, and we test the dyes first so nothing bleeds.

Is it worth cleaning?
Sometimes a cheap rug costs less to replace than to clean, and we'll say so. Tell us the size, what it's made of if you know, and what's wrong with it, and you'll get a straight answer.
